If no database is provided at setup, you will be prompted to select a database file when connecting to the data source.

When using the Microsoft Access driver, click Select in the ODBC Microsoft Access Setup Dialog Box dialog box to open an existing database through the Select Database dialog box, which contains the following controls, among others:

Database Name

The name of the existing database file, with an .mdb extension.

Read Only

Designates the database as read-only to prohibit any updates.

Exclusive

When selected, the database opens in Exclusive mode, which limits access to one user at a time and improves performance. When cleared, the database opens in Shared mode and can be accessed simultaneously by multiple users.
