Common tasks in the Add or Edit Resource Allocation dialog box

Task Procedure

Choose a process matching criterion

On the General tab, in the Process matching criteria list, select a process matching criterion.

Configure a CPU allocation

On the General tab, use the up and down arrows or type a number for the CPU allocation percentage.

Configure a memory allocation

On the Memory tab, select either Use maximum committed memory for each process or Use maximum working set limit for each process, and type a number for the limit (in MB).

Configure processor affinity

On the Advanced tab, select the Use specified processors check box, and then type the number or range of processor numbers in the box.

Sub-allocate resources

On the Advanced tab, in the Management Rule list, select Standard, and then click Sub-allocate resources.
