Standaard is IIS 7.5 niet geïnstalleerd op Windows Server® 2008 R2. U kunt IIS 7.5 installeren met behulp van de wizard Rollen toevoegen in Serverbeheer of door de opdrachtregel te gebruiken.
Wanneer u Windows Server 2008 R2 installeert, kunt u een serverbasisinstallatie uitvoeren. Hierbij wordt een minimale serverinstallatie van Windows Server 2008 R2 geïnstalleerd. Bij dit type installatie wordt de traditionele Windows-interface bijvoorbeeld niet geïnstalleerd, dus u moet de server configureren vanaf de opdrachtprompt.

Gebruik de wizard Rollen toevoegen om de webserverrol toe te voegen.

Als u de wizard Rollen toevoegen gebruikt om IIS te installeren, wordt de standaardinstallatie uitgevoerd met een beperkte set rolservices. Als u extra IIS-rolservices wilt, zoals Toepassingsontwikkeling of Gezondheid en diagnose, moet u de selectievakjes voor die functies inschakelen op de pagina Rolservices selecteren van de wizard. |

IIS 7.5 installeren onder Windows Server 2008 R2 met een serverbasisinstallatie
Als u IIS 7-onderdelen wilt installeren die .NET Framework nodig hebben, moet u eerst .NET Framework installeren. De onderdelen die .NET Framework nodig hebben, worden niet geïnstalleerd als .NET Framework niet eerst is geïnstalleerd.
