When you create a new process matching criterion or edit an existing one, you can add a new rule by clicking Add on the Rules tab of the properties page of a process matching criterion.

Common tasks in the Add Rule dialog box

Task Procedure

Include a file or command line:

  • By typing the full path and file name.

  • By typing a regular expression statement.

On the Files or Command Lines tab, under Included files or command lines, click a blank line and then type the file name or regular expression that you want to match.

For more information about file and command-line matching, see Create a Process Matching Criterion by Using Path Matching.

On the Files or Command Lines tab, select Registered Service, Running Process, Application, or IIS App-Pool from the drop-down list, and then click Select.

Click the name of the matched process that you want to include, and then click OK.
