In this dialog box in Internet Explorer® Maintenance (IEM), you can specify the URLs for the Home page, Search bar, and Online Support page instead of using the default values provided by Internet Explorer.
You must be a member of the Administrators group to work with IEM and Group Policy objects (GPOs).
Home page
The Home page appears when the user clicks the Home button. Internet Explorer comes preconfigured to display the http://www.msn.com page, or you can specify a URL to another page.
To specify the URL for the Home page in Internet Explorer using IEM |
In IEM, expand Internet Explorer Maintenance.
In the left pane, click URLs, and then in the right pane, double-click Important URLs.
Select the Customize Home page URL check box and then type the URL in the Home page URL text box.
Search bar

In IEM, expand Internet Explorer Maintenance.
In the left pane, click URLs, and then in the right pane, double-click Important URLs.
Select the Customize Search bar URL check box, and then type the URL in the Search bar URL text box.

Online Support page
In Internet Explorer, users can access support information from Microsoft when they click Help and then click Online Support. However, your organization may want to create a custom support page for your users. To specify a custom support page, do the following:

In the left pane, click URLs, and then in the right pane, double-click Important URLs.
Select the Customize Online support page URL check box, and then type the URL in the Online support page URL text box.
