Notification thresholds specify notifications that are generated automatically when quota usage reaches defined levels. File Server Resource Manager can send e-mail messages to administrators or specific users, log an event, execute a command or a script, or generate reports. By default, no notifications are generated.

Send e-mail to the following administrators |

Send e-mail to the user who exceeded the threshold |
Specifies whether to send e-mail to the account that the user was logged in to at the time the threshold was reached. |
Subject |
Provides a text box for you to write the subject of the e-mail that will be automatically sent. |
Message body |
Provides a text box for you to write the message of the e-mail that will be automatically sent. |
Select variable to insert in your text |
Lists the available variables that you can insert into either the subject or message. |
Insert Variable |
Inserts the selected variable in the subject or message at the cursor. |
Additional E-mail Headers |
Enables you to enter additional e-mail addresses and other e-mail options. |
Event Log tab

Command arguments |
Provides a text box for you to type the arguments for the command, if required. Command arguments may include variables as described for text boxes on the E-mail Message tab and Event Log tab. |
Working directory |
Opens the Command Working Directory dialog box, which enables you to specify the directory in which the command should run. |
Command security |
Specifies the security level at which to run the command. |
