If you want IP-based remote access clients to access this server only, you can disable IP routing. |
Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) |
Specifies that the server uses DHCP to obtain IP addresses for remote access and demand-dial connections. |
Static address pool |
Specifies that the server uses a configured static pool of IP addresses for allocation to TCP/IP-based remote access and demand-dial connections. Configure the addresses that make up the pool by using Add, Edit, and Remove. |
Enable broadcast name resolution |
Enables or disables the broadcast name resolution service. When enabled, this service allows remote access clients to resolve TCP/IP names on a single subnet LAN without the use of local Windows Internet Name Service (WINS) or Domain Name System (DNS) servers. |
Adapter |
Lists the available adapters. The selected adapter is used to obtain the IP addresses for allocation (if configured to use DHCP) and the IP addresses of DNS and WINS servers for assignment to remote access clients and demand-dial routers. By default, Allow RAS to select adapter is selected, which means that the server randomly selects an adapter when RRAS is started. |
