When you take Message Queuing offline from the network, you pause the operation of all outgoing queues on the local computer. This is useful when you communicate over a slow, expensive connection and want to defer sending messages in all outgoing queues on the computer to a later time. You can also pause the operation of a single outgoing queue.
You can only perform this task by using Computer Management.
Taking outgoing queues offline

Open Computer Management.
In the console tree, right-click Message Queuing.

Point to All Tasks, and do one of the following:

To take Message Queuing offline from the network, click Take Message Queuing Offline.

To bring Message Queuing back online, click Bring Message Queuing Online.

To take Message Queuing offline from the network, click Take Message Queuing Offline.
When prompted, click Yes.
Additional considerations
- To open Computer Management on Windows® 7, click Start, right-click Computer, and then click Manage.
- To open Computer Management on Windows Server® 2008 R2, click Start, click All Programs, click Administrative Tools, and then click Computer Management.
