Trigger name

Provides a space for you to type a name for your new trigger.

User queue

Associates the new trigger with a user-defined queue.

Queue path name

Provides a space for you to type the path name of the user-defined queue with which the trigger will be associated in the computer_name\queue_name syntax, or the .\queue_name syntax for the local computer. (Do not use format names.)

Computer journal queue

Associates the new trigger with the automatically created journal queue on the local computer.

Computer dead-letter queue

Associates the new trigger with the automatically created dead-letter queue on the local computer.

Computer transactional dead-letter queue

Associates the new trigger with the automatically created transactional dead-letter queue on the local computer.

Peeking

Specifies that the trigger will process messages by peeking at them in the monitored queue.

Retrieval

Specifies that the trigger will process messages by retrieving them from the monitored queue.

Transactional retrieval

Specifies that the trigger will process messages by retrieving them from the monitored queue as transactional messages.

Enabled

Configures the new trigger as enabled.

When this check box is cleared, the trigger is disabled.

Serialized

Configures the new trigger as serialized.

A serialized trigger tests the conditions of all the rules associated with it on each message and performs all the applicable actions before moving on to the next message.
