Configure the operating system on the virtual machine
The virtual machines that users access through Conexão com RemoteApp e Área de Trabalho can be running any of the following operating systems: Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP.

The name of the virtual machine in the Hyper-V Manager tool must match the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the computer. |
After you have created the virtual machine and installed an operating system, you must configure the operating system of the virtual machine so that it can be used as a virtual desktop in Conexão com RemoteApp e Área de Trabalho. You must do the following:
- Join the computer to an Active Directory domain.
- Enable Remote Desktop.
- Configure the local Remote Desktop Users group. Each user who needs access to the virtual machine must be a member of the local Remote Desktop Users group.
- Add the computer account for the Virtualização de Área de Trabalho Remota server to the local Administrators group.
- Install the latest integration services for Hyper-V. For more information, see the
Hyper-V Getting Started Guide . Windows 7 includes the latest integration services for Hyper-V. - Configure Windows Firewall to allow an exception for Remote Desktop and Remote Service Management.
- Set the value for the registry entry AllowRemoteRPC to 1. This registry entry is located in the following subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server.
